Join for 2026-2027

The CORE Membership year is June 1 to May 31. A full membership purchased in May gives you a bonus month and is valid until May 31st of the following year.

Please join only for the current club year. If you are joining between January 1 and April 30, remit the reduced prorated fee via eTransfer or to the mailing address noted on the form below or on the Contact Us page.

You can remit your fees via eTransfer per instructions below, or, if by cash/cheque, please print your confirmation email which you will receive after you “Submit“, and (snail) mail it along with your payment. Click here for the CORE mailing address. DO NOT mail a hand-written membership form. This makes more work for our membership coordinator who is a real person, not AI.

*Tip: if you don’t have access to a printer, include a handwritten note with your name, phone number and email address and the date you submitted your membership form.

Once the CORE Membership Coordinator has received your form and payment confirmation, you will be emailed a Welcome letter with some club info and the Event Calendar password, as well as your membership card.

CORE Liability Waiver & Indemnity Agreement

Calgary Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts (CORE) Society is a group of persons who share an interest in the pursuit of outdoor recreational activities. (“Members”) individually agree to pursue outdoor recreational activities with other Members and non -Members (“Events”).

Events are not guided by Members. Neither CORE nor its Members represent that they have any specialized training or skills relating to Events, wilderness safety or first aid. CORE and its Members are not responsible for explaining risks involved with participation in Events.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand and acknowledge that participation in an Event involves inherent risks which may cause personal injury, sickness or death, and may cause property damage or loss to participants. I understand and acknowledge that I am responsible for making myself aware of all such risks. I accept and assume complete responsibility for all such risks.

WAIVER OF RIGHTS
I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, trustees, successors and assignees, WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS I may now and in the future have against CORE and its Members, directors, officers, volunteers, agents and representatives for any and all personal injury, sickness or death, and property damage or loss sustained by me arising out of or in connection with my participation in an Event, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the carelessness, recklessness, or willful acts or omissions of CORE and its Members, directors, officers, volunteers, agents and representatives.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, trustees, successors and assignees, RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE CORE and its Members, directors, officers, volunteers, agents and representatives from and against all demands, claims, actions, damages, costs and expense, with respect to injury, sickness or death, and property damage or loss, whether such claim arises by contract, by tort, in equity or by reason of breach of a legal or statutory duty, arising out of or in connection with my
participation in an Event, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the carelessness, recklessness, or willful acts or omissions of CORE and its Members, directors, officers, volunteers, agents and representatives.

CONSENT TO USE IMAGES
I hereby give CORE permission to use digital or other images of me taken by any member or guest of CORE, during a CORE authorized event, for the primary purpose of display in the FOKTI photo album, which is an open and public source application. My image can also be used in connection with promoting CORE and its activities, which may include advertising, promotion and marketing. I further consent to my first name only being displayed in connection with the appearance of my image.

INDEMNITY
I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, trustees, successors and assignees, AGREE TO DEFEND, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY CORE and its Members, directors, officers, volunteers, agents and representatives from any and all liability, demands, claims, actions, damages, costs and expense, for any injury, sickness or death, and property damage or loss, whether such claim arises by contract, by tort, in equity or by reason of breach of a legal or statutory duty, arising out of or in connection with participation in an Event by myself or any non -Members , including minors, that I introduce to an Event, notwithstanding that such claim may have been contributed to or occasioned by the carelessness, recklessness, or willful acts or omissions of CORE and its Members, directors, officers, volunteers, agents and representatives.

I certify that I am physically fit and capable of safely participating in any Event in which I choose to participate.

NOTICE: THIS AGREEMENT IS LEGALLY BINDING. BY SIGNING IT YOU GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO RECOVER COMPENSATION FROM CORE AND ITS MEMBERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES, THROUGH THE COURTS OR OTHERWISE, FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, SICKNESS OR DEATH AND PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN AN EVENT, EVEN IF THE SAME WAS CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE. YOU ARE ALSO AGREEING TO PAY THE LEGAL AND OTHER COSTS INCURRED BY CORE AND ITS MEMBERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES, DUE TO CLAIMS BY NON-MEMBERS, INCLUDING MINORS THAT YOU INTRODUCE TO EVENTS. I understand and acknowledge that this Agreement is binding on me for all subsequent events in which I participate. I acknowledge that I have read and understood this Agreement.
