CORE members are encouraged to take photos along the trail and post a selection of them on the CORE photo album. This helps older members of the club remember where they\u2019ve been &lt;8} , and encourages others to try out some of the exciting activities our club offers. If any members need some help in figuring out the photo album posting steps, please contact the CORE webmaster or the Communication Coordinator. This month\u2019s presenter was Cliona, who gave us as a wonderful account of her trip to Ireland this past summer. Thanks again Cliona. You made that South West coast of the Emerald Isle appear so terribly inviting and immensely historic. The project involves decommissioning ~400-500m of the existing trail from Spray Lakes Road up toward the Sparrowhawk Tarns. A new trail route that is slightly less steep has already been constructed and the project with Friends volunteers simply involves using hand tools to loosen the compacted old trail tread, placing rocks and logs across the old trail, and other miscellaneous tasks to rehabilitate the old trail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to bring:<\/strong> You&#8217;ll need to wear hiking boots and bring work gloves (Friends of Kananaskis\u00a0work gloves will be available), rain gear (hopefully not needed), along with your lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray, bear spray,\u00a0and other personal gear. In late September 2013 he started a walking project entitled Walk Calgary Communities. The goal is to walk every residential street in the city. Join us for a photo presentation about this project.
