7 members and 1 guest participated in this hike. Lots of flowers, especially red paint brushes and bright orange wood lilies along the trail before the climb to the pass. Once past the pass there was very little shade. We started at about 9:45 am. Should have changed the start time to 8:45 or even 7:45 to avoid ascending at 30+ temperatures.. Lesson learned.
