This is an unofficial trail in fair condition that becomes less distinct in the alpine area. The grade is moderate to steep, especially when approaching the upper tarns. The best route generally follows the right side of the upper valley, best accessed via the primitive route traversing the large slide area on its right side. The rough trail finally ascends a steep route up a headwall approx 100m, not a scramble to access the upper 4-5 tarns clefted in the rocky terrain. Wet conditions will makes some sections of the trail muddy and slippery. Good Vibram soles and poles are recommended. Excellent scenery, wildlife (sheep, marmots) are common.
