5 core members hiked to the North Summit where the cairn is located. Trail has an initial steep 100m section, but was dry. Trail continues up thru an interesting subalpine forest before opening up to grassy west facing slopes on the final ascent. Steep cliffy terrain exists on east side of ridge. Winds were calm but clouds were low, inundating the upper slopes.
