Initial part of the trail (up to where bikes used to be locked to cement curb sections) is wide, easily followed despite unsigned junctions. The willow meadow area with all the streams issuing from Robertson Glacier is trickier in that the willows often obscure the signs showing the way across the meadow to the ascent route to the pass. Group needs to be tight together here, not just to be safer from bears. We were able to cross the area without removing our hiking boots for the stream crossings.
