Missed Trail at start of ridge-then rained out
Hike: Tent Ridge (XD, partially exploratory)
Although this is a relatively short hike - about 9 km - the ascent is steep (640m) for about 1 hour. Once the ridge top is reached, the extent of the views is amazing. The S end of the ridge, if chosen, requires some scrambling & confidence in moving across steep, rocky slopes. The plan is to go from S to N on the ridge. Tea & dessert at Engadine Lodge afterwards? Mtg. place is Edworthy Park, N. side of river, E. end of parking lot. |
