Comments

Falls were at or near peak flow. Very busy trail

Started clockwise on upper Peyto Lookout nature loop. Straight on old fire road at unmarked junction where paved road curves right. Great views - lots of flowers and marmots.

Double Hike (E-M) to Bow Glacier Falls and Bow Summit Lookout
We will hike along the shore of Bow Lake to the very foot of Bow Glacier Falls. (9km, 100 m el.) Since this is a long drive for a short hike, we can then take a 5 minute side trip to Bow Summit for another short hike up past the Peyto Lake Viewpoint to the site of the old Bow Summit Fire Lookout. This is 6 km and 230m el round trip. Anyone not wanting to do the second hike could relax at the viewpoint for an hour. Both hikes are rated Easy and together they are a moderate 15 km.
