Friends of Kananaskis Trailcare: Volunteers Needed [Please note: This isn't an official CORE event, but is posted on behalf of the Friends of Kananaskis]<bR><bR>Friends of Kananaskis Country now has three volunteer projects confirmed for Saturday, July 11th. <bR><bR>If you are interested, please E-mail Kananaskis.Volunteer[at]gov.ab.ca indicating which project you would like to be signed up for.<bR><bR>Canmore/Bow – Jeff Eamon<bR>Highline Trail – Elk to Grizzly<bR>Meeting Place: Quarry Lake parking lot<bR>Time: 9:00 am<bR>Number of volunteers required: 30<bR><bR> <bR>Elbow – Sam Fullerton and Joe Dick<bR>Nihahi Ridge – Elk to Grizzly (some drainage work as well as blocking off new trails)<bR>Meeting Place: Little Elbow Day Use parking lot (will drive in a little further together)<bR>Time: 9:00 a.m. until 2 or 3 p.m.<bR>Number of volunteers required: 6-8<bR>Note: will be hiking in about 2kms and then working back towards vehicles<bR><bR><bR>Peter Lougheed – Andre Belliveau<bR>Upper Kananaskis Lakes trail – Elk (trail tread repairs)<bR>Meeting Place: Upper Lake day use trailhead<bR>Time: 9:00<bR>Number of volunteers required: 10<bR><bR>Remember to wear good boots and bring gloves, insect repellent, lunches, water, etc.<bR><bR>As always, your support of the Volunteer Trail Care program is much appreciated! <bR><bR>(Posted on CORE Calendar by Mark P.) <bR><bR>
