Winter Hike

Moderate - Snowshoe/Backcountry Ski in Waterton Lakes National Park. Moderate snowshoe up to Forum/Cameron Ridge avoiding the avalanche zones, about 8 km return, gradual 250 to 350 m elevation gain. Great views to Cameron Lake and Forum Lake, we will descend to one of the lakes avoiding the avalanche zones, be prepared for alot of snow covered downfall - have proper snowshoes with crampons on the bottem - no "oldie" snowshoes please and wear appropiate gear for the deep powder on descent from the ridge. You may ski on this trip but you must have tele skiis and skins and have a partner with you and be at an advanced level of skiing. Bring lots of snacks/water and later we will have a bite to eat at The Lodge.
