The actual Loppet Stomp has no elevation gain because it's on L.Louise. Gain is from village to the lake.
SNOWSHOE: LOPPET STOMP (E): After coffee & 'a little something' at Laggan's Bakery in Lake Louise, we'll snowshoe up the Louise Creek Trail to the Chateau for lunch. After lunch the plan is to stomp the Start area for the Lake Louise Loppet (next weekend) to prepare the lake surface for tracksetting. We can then climb to Fairview Lookout to check our work on the lake & then return downhill all the way back to the village of Lake Louise. Mtg. place is Edworthy Park parking, E end, near the jct. of Bowness Rd. & Shaganappi Tr.
