Total group 10 with Calgary Ski Club. Burstall trail flatened by skiers and snowshoers. Only skier-set tracks were in Robertson valley

XC SKI: ROBERTSON VALLEY (M): This popular trail starts as a gradually rising fire road towards Burstall Pass. At about 3 km. it narrows through the trees (or can be bypassed on the lake). At the open flats we turn and follow the valley through forest to end of tree line and a view of Robertson Glacier. The trail is essentially level with a <bR>couple of very short more difficult sections. This trip is a good introduction to backcountry touring with skier-set tracks.
