Comments

Cloudy and ~8C. Trail excellent but a bit of mud where thawed out. This was a good trip for shoulder season due to trail being exposed ot the sun. Encountered very little snow except at the highest elevations.

HIKE PART OF SKOGAN PASS TRAIL FROM DEADMAN'S FLAT'S, MODERATE: After a stop at the Husky Station (Deadman's Flats)for a coffee and a snack, we'll park at the base of Pigeon Mtn. Then hike for four or five hours (return) along Skogan Pass Trail, or as far as we can go in safety. Be prepared for some snow (bring ice grips if you have them).
