Clear, 5-20C. Mud at lake. 25 cm snow at summit. Scenery is much better beyond Bourgeau Lake.

Additional Comments

HIKE: MT. BOURGEAU (XD): Long day (11 hours) and long approach. Flashlight or headlamp required. Brief / easy scrambley section between Bourgeau Lake and Harvey Pass. The mountain itself is a walk-up on a west-facing slope, on good quality (stable/firm) scree. An easily-obtained major peak with an expansive view from the summit. Excellent distance training for the hike out of Assinniboine.<bR>CORE rating extra difficult. 1500m elevation gain, 24km round-trip.
