It was still too early for wildflowers this year (normaly late July is best) Mosquitoes were terrible, particularly at thet top. Worse than usual. Most of the trip in forest. Wonderful uninterrupted views at top. Route easyto follow. Can do short detour to Simpson Pass. Route starts at back of buildings at parking lot below road to village. Clear 24C.
HEALY PASS BANFF NATIONAL PARK: distance 18.4 km 640 m gain moderate day hike.<bR>This can be a spectacular Wildflower hike...if the flowers are finally blooming.
