This was a good time of the year for this. Snow melted except 1 small patch. Car shuffle short and okay. Elizabeth had leg cramps near pass causing minor delay.

HIKE CORY PASS (D): From the top of Cory Pass there are good views of Banff and the Vermillion Lakes. After doing a car shuffle, we'll start from Mt. Norquay, hike down into the 40 Mile Creek valley to go upstream toward the Edith Pass Trail. Elevation is about 800 m, & distance about 19 km. One short bit of exposure (about 3 m) where there are plenty of hand & footholds. Mtg. place is Edworthy Park parking on the N side of the river & by the jct. of Shaganappi Tr. & Bowness Rd.
