SWIFTCURRENT PASS-GLACIER N.P.: Swiftcurrent Pass - Saturday<bR><bR>Type = In and Out, same track-To the pass and back. Note : late season snow may prevent access all the way to the pass.Also would recomend that you bring sandals to wear as we may have to ford a couple of creeks that may be running high.<bR>Distance = 22km<bR>Elevation Gain = 678m (most of this is to the pass)<bR>CORE Rating = Difficult<bR><bR>Long hike with awesome views of the entire valley from the pass. Amazing zig zags (where the elevation begins big time) to the pass with some minor exposure. Very long day if you go to the pass with 2 "shortcut" options for those who want to shorten their hike to make it easier and instead stop off at Redrock and Bullhead Lakes that are on the way in towards the pass. Redrock Lake has falls and is a very pleasant place to spend a few hours. This hike starts at the west end of the SwiftCurrent Motel restaurant and leaves at 9am sharp.
