A good day and all seemed to enjoy the outing.

SNOWSHOE: STANLEY GLACIER (M): Cross the Vermilion river via a footbridge below the parking area on Hwy. 93. Ascend through open lodgepole pine forest for 2 km & then continue for about 1 km on relatively level terrain along Stanley Creek towards the glacier. Travel beyond this point is not recommended due to danger of avalanches. Total elevation is 365 m & distance is about 7 km. Mtg. place is Edworthy Park, N. side of river, E. end of parking lot. Expect 4-5 hours on the trail.
