Sunny, warm, 6C. Herds of elk, deer. Woodpeckers, hawks, cougar tracks. Sheltered trail with runners. Hills for viewpoints and open-wide meadows. Changed original planned destination.

WATERTON WINTER WONDERLAND WEEKEND-WALL LAKE (M): Wall Lake Snowshoe/X-Ski from Little Prairie winter shelter on groomed and trackset trail for those who wish to ski or nicely packed trail for those who wish to snowshoe to Akamina Pass trailhead. From Akamina Pass trailhead there is no trackset for x-country skiers but it is relatively easy to negotiate. Beautiful area to explore. Elev. Gain= 200 m, distance= 14 km return. Moderate
